Clark County Fair

This past weekend we went to the Clark County Fair and Colton had a blast thanks to Aunt Lacey & Uncle Brandon. Colton rode on most of the rides himself and he loved it. And I think we might have to purchase a razor in the near future....Colton thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Conference Sunday in between sessions we decided to go for a little hike and shoot our guns. Colton had so much fun. I just love the pictures of Brandon and Colton. He thinks he needs to be just like daddy. Whatever Brandon does Colton does. Even the spitting part. Colton has picked up spitting somewhere. I think its from Brandon doing it at the ball fields but he begs to differ. AnyHoo we love the outdoors and as you can see so does our little guy.

I can't believe my little boy is already one. It went by way to fast. We had a little cake on his real birthday before the actual party. Unfortunately he doesn't like cake. I guess i have rubbed off a little on him in the sweets department. He liked the candle though if that counts. He is doing everything himself lately he even tries to get dressed by himself. He is way too advanced it really makes me sad but happy at the same time. He loves to be outside and is daddy's little helper. His favorite thing right now is his motorcycle. He loves Popsicles and the toddler Cheetos puffs. He has been walking since he was 10 months and getting into everything long before that. Our newest challenge is Colton hits, kicks and spits. He is all BOY for sure and boy are we in for it!!!!

TRUNK OR TREAT

Robyn's car turned into a pumpkin at her wards Trunk or Treat. It was so cute and Colton loved it. He was a pro at trick or treating he reached right in and got mommy & daddy's favorite candy.

Aunt Jan always throws a good halloween party every year. So much fun with lots of yummy food. And we couldn't forget to record colton's first outing trick or treating with the kids. He loved it but boy was he wore out.

Gotta love the PBR. So much fun. This year Tyson & Kimmie came with us and it was a blast. I get a little crazy when it comes to bull riding and sometimes i embarass Brandon cause i get so caught up in the ride...he even mentioned a straight jacket next year. I'm really not that bad i hope. I know i'm a little loud and jumpy but a straight jacket....Come on!

Brandon and Colton are just as the saying goes...Like father like son. He already has started lessons. He is determined Colton will play baseball. I guess he loves it so far so im sure Brandon won't have to worry about him not liking it. And the picture in the middle is Colton & his best friend Ace. A couple weekends ago we were able to go to Pahrump to visit Grandma Gainey & Aunt Michelle. They go there every year with a bunch of there friends & the're RV'S. We had so much fun riding the pedal boats playing at the park and just sitting around catching up. It had been a few years since we'd been cause the last time was before we were married. Crazy how time flys but its always nice to spend time with family.

Don't i have the cutest Cowboys ever!!!! KayDee and her kids came to the Rodeo with us Saturday night and it was super fun. The rodeo is always a good time. Corbin, Ally, & Laken all did the muten bustin and it was pretty funny. They all did awsome and looked super cute all dressed up.

I know its a little late but here are Colton's 6 Month pictures. He is getting so big. I cant tell you just how happy this little guy is all the time. He is crawling everywhere. Yes i mean everywhere and he is into everything. His favorite things to get into are the blinds the kitchen drawers and his newest feet was getting behind the entertainment center and unplugging the TV. Yes we did have to child proof our house this weekend cause Colton has turned into a menace. This past week he has started pulling himself up to things and stands up in his crib and hollers at me when he wakes up instead of crying. Its hilarious I cant help but laugh at him. This stage is so much fun and i love to see how excited he gets when he discovers something new. I don't know what we would do without him. He defiantly keeps up on our toes.

Idaho & Five Generations

Bob & Margene were super nice and let us stay with them in Provo on our way to idaho Colton loved them.

It's not too often you get to capture five generations, and we did. This was the purpose of our trip to Idaho and it was really neat to get to spend some time with Great Grandpa Waters. We learned so much about his family history and took some pictures in places that had so much meaning to Grandpa. The first picture is at the care facility were Grandpa now lives, the next is just Brandon, Colton, and Grandpa, the third is at the snake river with the Idaho Falls temple in the background, and the last one is overlooking the canyon where the house was where grandpa was born. We will cherish these photos and we are so lucky to have been able to take them.

We stumbled upon this old car while we were out venturing and smapped a few photos. Colton loved the car...he is such a boy.

Brandon turned 27 on the 24th. The whole state even celebrated his birthday. He has been so busy with work lateley we harldy ever get to see him....but you wouldn't know it cause Colton sure loves his daddy. He helped him open presents and then we had fireworks. Nothing to exciting other than Brandon is another year older.

I'm a little late but colton turned 4 months on the 8th and he had cerel for the first time. He wasn't too sure about it at first but now he loves it. He is getting so big it makes we want to cry. We are loving every minute being with this little man.

San Diego

Colton's First Trip to the Beach

We were able to spend some time in San Diego at my aunt and uncles beach house and it was great to get away. Colton was an awsome traveler and he had a ball with all the kids. He wasn't to sure about the beach but he loved taking walks and hanging out at the house. It was Lexee's 4th Birthday while we were there so we celebrated. And we got to get together with Brandon's Uncle Todd while we were there. It is always nice to get away but now we are home and loving every minute. We are finally in our new house and life is good. I will post pics soon.

Bubba's 9th B-Day

Tracen turned nine on Saturday and we had a little party for him at the park. He was so excited for all his presents and he loved his sponge bob cake that Laken and Grandma Leslie made for him. He is getting so big its hard to believe he is nine...but he is and he will never let you forget it.

Hooter's Softball Tournament

Last weekend Brandon played in the Hooter's softball tournament down in vegas. We had a lot of fun hanging out at the ball park. It was super hot but the boys played at the Field of Dreams Softball complex so we were lucky enough to be able to sit inside in the nice air conditioned building and watch. Brandon did awsome as always his team took 3rd and Brandon got MVP of the whole tournament. Thats just how he rolls.....!

Grandpa Jeff

Colton's great grandpa came to visit him from Pennsylvania and he adored him. Colton is a first to both of our families so it's pretty neat to see how excited everyone is to have him in our family. Above is a picture of all the (Lee's) Brandon's dad Leonard Lee, Brandon Lee, Colton Lee and his grandpa Leonard Lee (4 Generations) When we first found out we were expecting i got the talk from Grandpa Jeff that if we had a boy his middle name had to be Lee no matter what. Good thing i liked the name Lee. Grandpa Jeff stayed for a couple of weeks and we were lucky to be able to spend a week in Vegas with him and the weekend before he left. We had a lot of fun and hopefully we will get to go back to Pennsylvania and visit the rest of the family soon.

Jordan, Colton, and Cooper were all born in the same month and they're moms are the best of friends. Jordan (KayDee's) was born the the 20th of March, Colton the 8th, and Cooper (Kimmie's) the 31st. Colton loved his first easter egg hunt as you can tell he slept through the whole thing. But he still looked super cute. He got an aquariam for his crib. We hoped it would make him want to sleep in his crib!!!!! Still working on that one. He is changing so much everyday....he's growing into the little man everyone says he is because of the hair. He was definatly blessed in that department. We love it even when its crazy.

Colton changes so much everyday. We are so lucky to have him in our lives. Who knew how much joy this little guy would bring, he is not spoiled one bit....(haha)! He is still wearing newborn diapers, and newborn clothes. He can fit into some 0-3 months but only a couple of outfits. He hates having a bath but he loves getting his hair washed. He has pied on his mom several times but not his dad yet. That will be coming soon. He loves to be outdoors at daddy's and grandma Tammy's softball games. He is starting to smile and he definatly knows who his mommy and daddy are. He couldn't be more perfect.

Colton is one week today. He is changing so much everyday. We couldn't be more happier then we are now. His first week has been a little rough. The last five days he has had to have blood work done and be under lights cause his jaundice levels were high. It was super sad but he was a trooper. Yipee for today no more lights and no more lab work. He is such a good baby and we are so happy he is ours. We love him so much.

We were able to go to temple square before christmas and it was amazing. I had never been before to see the lights and i was bound and determined to go and it was definitely worth the trip. We spent the weekend with Creed & Lac and the kids and had a great time. Cody Robyn and the boys came up too and stayed with Brooke. Its always nice to get away.

IT"S A BOY

I know it has been way to long since i last posted anything....needless to say life has been crazy. For all of you who don't know.....WE ARE EXPECTING and we're super excited. I am nineteen weeks and IT"S A BOY. Pregnancy has been really up and down for me. I have been sick since about six weeks and i think things are finally looking on the bright side for me other than my waistline is diappearing (major shocker) i knew it was going to happen but when it finally did i wasn't quite ready. The joys of pregnancy right? If any of you have any suggustions on names we would really apprecite your help...every name I love Brandon hates and every name he likes im not to sure of. Is it really that complicated?

Arlene Mickelsen Waters
Arlene Mickelsen Waters 73, died on her birthday, July 26, 2009 at Henderson, Nevada following a illness with cancer.
Arlene was born July 26, 1936 at Grant, Idaho the daughter of Lorin and Sidney Mickelsen. She grew up in Idaho where she attended her schooling.
She married Teddy Waters on May 27, 1955 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Alhambra, California for 40 years moving to Henderson Nevada eleven years ago. While in California Arlene worked for the Arroyo School District as a typist.She and her husband were both active members of the LDS Church serving in many positions.
She is survived by her husband Ted of Henderson NV.; Children - Tamara (Robert) Day, and Tonya (Leonard) Gainey, both of Henderson, N V; Jeffrey (Jennifer) Waters, Victorville, CA.; Jerald (Anita) Waters, Tracy, MN.; Tedene Haase, N. Las Vegas, NV.; Siblings - Lorin Peter Mickelsen Jr. and Daniel Mickelsen both of Idaho Falls, ID.; Marjene Hall, Orem, UT.; and Kathy Daynes, Provo, UT.; 15 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Burkholder LDS Chapel in Henderson NV.; Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to the Services. A visitation will also be held Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Garfield LDS Church (74 N. 3700 E.) just prior to going to the Grant Cemetery for interment services. PA & Boston

Over the 4th we went on a little vaca to Pennsylvania and Boston. We had a blast is was so nice to see the family and spend time with them. In Pennsylvania we went to Hershey's Chocolate World, Amish Town, and went on the Strassburg Railroad. We were only there a day and a 1/2 but it was so beautiful i could of never left until brandon reminded me its not this beautiful in the winter. I still loved it. We drove to Boston from Grandpa Jeff's and i swear it took forever. Instead of it taking 6 1/2 hours to get there it took us 10 thanks to Grandpa Jeff and some new servers at resturants along the way. We eventually made it to Boston and had a great time. We went to a Red Sox game, walked around the Patriots football stadium and watched the fireworks off the Charles river. (I don't know when we will do that again for a while thanks to 500,000 people and very crowded subway). We did have a great time though. Its always nice to have a good little vaca every once in a while.

My grandma had a easter egg hunt for the grandkids at Kolab where she is staying....It was really cute and the kids had a blast. My grandma and her buddies filled all the eggs and hid them throughout the care center and they did and awesome job. Needless to say the kids got bags full of candy and they loved every minute of it

He's Finally Here

My cousin just welcomed there second baby Breken Creed Naylor. He finially decided to enter our crazy family. He is so cute. Me and Lac are 6 months apart and this is her second so i am a little behind. Everyone said i would change my mind about waiting when he finally came and i now have to agree especailly seeing Brandon with him he is going to be a great dad.

Yes We're Alive

I know i am a huge slacker but life has been crazy. Here are a few things we have been up to. Ok so i have the most thoughful husband ever. I work late every Monday night and a couple of weeks ago i came home to a candlelight dinner. Who would of guessed Brandon could be so romantic. Ha ha he is the best.
Brandon got he truck back from his parents house and we had to take it out in the mud. We had a blast. I was freaked that we were going to get stuck it had rained all week so it was pretty muddy, we almost did get stuck (but if you ask brandon we weren't even close). We do some pretty crazy things but we always have the best time with each other.
Ok i couldn't leave valentines out since it was our first one together. Brandon came home Thursday and said pack your bags we are going away for the weekend. I had no idea where we were going but i was excited to have a weekend away with him. We ended up going to vegas and staying in a suite on the strip it was just relaxing. And he even suprised me by taking me to a hockey game. I love hockey i have been wanting to go all season and i finally got to go. Needless to say Valentines was GREAT!!!!

Christmas

This year we were lucky enough to spend christmas with both families. We spent christmas eve with the Thompsons. We played games, ate good food and santa dropped off some early gifts for everyone. We stayed at our place and Christmas morning we all went to my moms for her famous breakfast. We only get it once a year so everyone is more excited for the food than the presents. We all piled in the living room and exchanged gifts. Good times. After breakfast we headed to Henderson to spend the rest of Christmas with Brandons family. This year was pretty neat having a new family to share it with. I have always been an only child until now. I could not of married into a better family. We exchanged gifts and had dinner at his grandparents where there is always good food. Our first christmas was great. Wouldn't change a thing.

WINTER WONDERLAND

I have been a little busy but i finally got around to posting yet another blog. A couple of weekends ago we went to vegas for Brandon's work Christmas Party and we took the kids ice skating. Kenzie had been begging us to go and she finally suckered Brandon into taking her. We were party poopers though and just sat and watched. It was freezing....its not supposed to be cold in Vegas. It was pretty entertaining watching everyone take a fall on their buts. Even all the kids each had a tumble. It was fun and i am sure it wont be long before we go agian (especially if kenzie has a say in it).

The Blogging World

We have finally decided to enter the blogging world. We are pretty busy around here. It was a month on Monday since Brandon and I have been married....Wow does time fly. Brandon is working in Vegas and commutting evey day. It calls for a long day but he doesn't complain. I think he likes being considered a utard (As Zack Brandon's lil brother would say). I am working full time too still at designer furniture gallery. Life is good even though we are crazy, but we couldn't be happier. And to top it all off I have the best husband in the world!!!!
